Blog 1- Report

Once we have selected our group, we quickly made a messenger chat on Facebook as we all agreed this would be the quickest way to contact each other to set up when we would meet up to discuss the project and what we would do. Another form of communication important to us was google docs as we set up google slides and docs, so we could put our work together quickly and see what other members had completed.

The thing I was most connected to with this was project was the care we need to take for the environment as the planet doesn’t have infinite resources and that everyone has to be conscious of how much waste we are producing daily and that’s something I probably don’t think about enough and this project reminded me that even something as small as  a coffee cup can create a large amount of waste when used on such a large scale but there were parts where I felt disconnected like although KeepCup does reduce the amount of waste used daily I really just don’t think its saving the environment as they say. The benefits of using KeepCup to me are too small to really make any difference on the state of the environment.

The main group conflict was when our word count was over the limit and we were cutting words we had to agree on what was least important as we all had different views on what was important and what wasn’t important but we eventually each compromised and cut back sections to meet the word count.

I think our group process went well. We met as a group early and split up what we had to do each and regularly met up to see how each of our sections were going and how they were linking to each other. We then combined it into a project on google docs and together edited mistakes and final adjustments like word count.

The main part of the report we should look to in future is looking in more detail in each part and to not write too much on sections that aren’t as important and keep stricter word count quotas for each section and evaluate if they are too big or small.
